Playing his cards close to his chest, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today said it would be premature to comment whether Samajwadi Party would enter into an alliance with Uma Bharati, as she had not spelt her plans.
Yadav, who had accorded state guest status to the fiery sanyasin said, “she (Bharati) is yet to announce formation of her party. It will be too early and inappropriate to talk about any alliance (for the next Assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh).”
Bharati’s elder brother Swami Lodhi had left the Ramroti yatra midway and met the SP President during latter’s visit to Prithvipur, around 58 km from here, Yadav said.
“But, if SP comes to power in MP, Congress and BJP will be completely wiped out from the state,” he said, before moving on to a scheduled function.
Yadav later told reporters that his party will construct a memorial for the farmers killed in police firing at Multai in Betul district during the Digvijay Singh government and will not seek assistance from the state government for it.
