Todis asked me to get them divorced: realtor

Syed Hasan Ali, a real estate developer, has told the CBI that he was approached by the Todis to visit the Rehmans and “settle” the matter through a divorce after Priyanka and Rizwanur got married. Hasan claimed that the Todis had sought his help through solicitors D N Mitra and Amit Basu as both Hasan and the Todis were their clients. Hasan added that though he had “helped”, there was no money involved in the process. He, however, admitted that it was at Pradeep Todi’s behest that he had gone to meet Pappu alias S M Mahinuddin, a businessman and an acquaintance of the Rehmans, to see if the latter could intervene in the matter. Both Hassan and Pappu are now under the CBI scanner for their involvement in the case with the latter being alleged of having accepted a bribe to separate the couple.
