NAGERCOIL, May 18: The TN Government has sought Rs 1086 crore from the World Bank to upgrade medical services in the State and bring them on par with those offered by corporate hospitals.The Additional Director of Medical and Rural Health Services, Dr M Palaniappan, said under the first phase of the proposed programme, five district HQ hospitals would be equipped with CT scans. He said primary health care centres would also be provided modern equipment with World Bank aid.
