TIRUCHI, July 25: Two naphata-based 100 MW power plants are to come up in Tiruchi and a team from Malaysia-based Tenaga B K Power is said have met the district collector, Rajeev Ranjan, to finalise the location in this connection. These power plants are a follow up to the State’ move to set up small power plants.

A moving AC sleeper bus caught fire on the Jaisalmer-Jodhpur Highway, leaving around 20 people dead and many others with severe burns. The bus, carrying 57 passengers, caught fire due to a short circuit and quickly engulfed in flames. The Jaisalmer District Collector has requested family members to identify the deceased.
