‘Three meeting points at LoC operational’

Announcing that the three designated entry points on the LoC for quake relief were operational, Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee said today that disruption in communication links had made it difficult for the quake-hit to take advantage of this facility.

Referring to a briefing he received this morning based on an official conversation between DGMO Lt Gen Madan Gopal and his Pakistani counterpart Maj Gen Yusuf Mohammad last night, he said, ‘‘There may not be adequate numbers of people available on the other side who can come to these stations, communication is difficult, therefore there may be some problem.”
