Author of the Briget Jones Diary, Helen Fielding couldn’t have possibly asked for more when Renee Zellweger consented to play the lead role in the film adaptation of her cult novel. The movie, which will open to audiences early next year, also stars Brit-boy Hugh Grant who plays Daniel Cleaver, the sexy publisher and Colin Firth as Mark Darcy, in a riveting tale centered around Bridget Jones, the overweight, love-lorn London girl with an inordinate addiction to cigarettes and alcohol. A mid-life crisis of sorts!
