The Anti-terrorism Squad of Mumbai police on Monday arrested two members of Hindu Jan-Jagruti Samiti, a local right wing outfit, in connection with the blast at a theatre auditorium in neighbouring Thane.
A local court remanded Mangesh Nikam and Ramesh Gadkari, the two arrested persons, to police custody till June 24.
Seven people were injured in the minor explosion at the Gadkari Rangayatan auditorium parking lot when a low intensity explosive went off on June 4 before the staging of the play ‘Amhi Pachpute’, political satire.
The Samiti had earlier taken exception to the play, alleging that it parodies certain mythological characters and hurts Hindu sentiments.
