Bhopal, April 17: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh said on Sunday the `duplicity’ of the BJP on the issue of Ram Temple has once again been exposed.

Reacting strongly to the statement of BJP leader Sushma Swaraj in which she described the Ram Temple as a political issue of the party, he said “there is no precedence in our democratic history of such a big fraud played on the people of this country”.

He said the Congress would struggle against the evil designs of the BJP with all the force to safeguard the glorious tradition of `Sarvdharm sambhav’.

Singh said previously, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh had articulated the intention of the BJP on Ram Temple issue and BJP had then tried to absolve itself from the Ram Temple issue.

“The BJP may put on as many masks as it wishes to, but the statement of Sushma Swaraj has once again exposed the hidden agenda. It has also unmasked the fraud perpetrated by BJP on the people and its allies”, the Chief Minister said.

Singh maintained that Congress had reiterated many times over that BJP was trying to hide the issues of Ram Temple, common civil code and Article 370 behind a mask.

“How long can an artificial veil succeed in keeping real motives under cover? Statements made by leaders of BJP time and again revealed their real intentions”, he said.

Singh alleged that in the guise of Constitutional review, the BJP would undermine interests of dalits and also hatch a conspiracy to push through the contentious issues of Ram Temple, common civi code and Article 370.

The Chief Minister urged the parties which are presently allies of BJP to take cognisance of Swaraj’s statement.
