Vadodara April 30: The Gujarat State Secondary and Higher Secondary Teachers' Sangh members have alleged that about 3,500 posts of teachers had been lying vacant all over the state owing to the inefficiency of the state government. The members have alleged that despite several representations to the state government to fill up the vacancies, no recruitment was done in the last two years. The members have said that the state government has only been pressurising school authorities to recruit surplus teachers. The members have added that though there were an equal number of surplus teachers in the state but they did not rise to the expectations of the school authorities. The members have also alleged that the government was only interested in looking into their profit but was not looking into the demands of the school principals.
