ADAMPUR (HISAR), SEPT 18: The manhunt launched to nab the unidentified baby killer has taken a new turn with the police suspecting involvement of a tantrik in the rape and murder of 10-year-old Aarti, daughter of an industrial worker at Bahadurgarh, near Delhi. The police begun working on this theory.

Surinder Singh, MP and son of Chief Minister Bansi Lal, who was on a day’s visit to Adampur, told The Indian Express that he had been following the case and was in constant touch with Deputy Inspector General of Police, PK Mehta.

Denying that the law-and-order situation had deteriorated in the state, Singh, who is also general secretary of the Haryana Vikas Party said, that the recent arrests indicated that some outsiders were committing crimes in the state. Fresh police recruitment would enable the police to curb the crime rate.

He blamed the opposition for launching a campaign to defame the ruling government just to get political mileage.
