Talwar’s judicial custody extended by 14 days

Court has extended judicial custody of Dr Talwar by 14 days and granted permission for another polygraph test on him.

.

A Ghaziabad court on Thursday extended judicial custody of Dr Rajesh Talwar, the prime accused in the Noida double murder case, by another 14 days.

The court also allowed another polygraph test to be carried on him.

Earlier CBI filed an application before the designated court of Sapna Mishra at Ghaziabad and pleaded for Talwar’s continuance in judicial custody contending that another polygraph test was required. The counsel for Talwar, however, opposed the judicial custody saying the agency had not found any substantial evidence to prove his role in the gruesome act.

Talwar was arrested on May 23 by Noida police for allegedly murdering his teenage daughter Arushi and domestic help Hemraj on the intervening night of June 15-16.
