CHANDIGARH, July 23: Swimming competition in five age catgegories, in both boys and girls sections, will be organised at the Yoga Swimming Pool at Sector 23, on July 31 and August 1.

According to a press release, competition will be held in U-8, U-10, U-12, U-14 and above 17 years.

The winners in all the sections will be given prizes. Entries close on July 30 at 5 p.m. with Anil Kalia, organising secretary, at the venue.

Sports wing trials
The Government College for Men, Sector 11, will conduct trials to select sportspersons for sports wings seats om July 27 at college premises from 9.30 a.m.

The trials will be held in athletics, lawn tennis, table tennis, softball, hockey, swimming, boxing and judo.

Show bouts
The Chandigarh Boxing Player Welfare Association (CBPWA), will organise show bouts in both men’s and women’s section tomorrow at Sector 17 Plaza Stage, at 6 p.m, to raise funds for Kargil Martyrs.
