NAGPUR, JAN 2: The god has given the Hindus the responsibility to take the peoples of the world to the pinnacle of human glory and every RSS swayamsewak has to play his part in this endeavour, said Mohan Bhagwat, the RSS Sarkaryawah, here on Tuesday. Bhagwat was addressing a gathering on the occasion of the special welcome accorded to Hindu swayamsevaks from all over the world.

The aim of the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh is not only to unite the Hindus abroad, but also to spread the `eternal light’ of the RSS all over the world, Bhagwat exhorted the over 500 delegates from 38 countries who visited the Mecca of RSS at the conclusion of the five-day Vishwa Sangh Shibir at Mumbai.

A grand programme, reminiscent of the Vijaya Dashami celebrations of the organisation, was specially organised to welcome the delegates.

In true RSS style, the Sarkaryawah said that the whole world was looking at India with hope. Ethics are missing where there is prosperity and where there are ethics, there is hunger. The RSS has its role cut out to elevate the whole humanity to great heights, Bhagwat said.

The Hindus have always believed in wasudhaiva kutumbakam (world as a family) and as such the swayamsewaks must lead by example to spread the work of the RSS and teach the world the nobel ideals Hinduism has stood for, Bhagwat further said. It was in the Nagpur session of the Congress that the RSS founder, Hedgewar, had moved a resolution to make efforts to free the world from the clutches of capitalist nations, Bhagwat recalled, reminding the swayamsevaks of his `global vision’.
