MUMBAI, May 17: Swaraj Engines Ltd has announced a higher dividend of 200 per cent for 1998-99 against 100 per cent paid last year. The net profit of the company has jumped 45 per cent, moving to Rs 15.65 crore from Rs 10.79 crore and earning per share amounted to Rs 37.80 against Rs 26.06 last year.Taking advantage of increased capacity and stepped up schedules from Punjab Tractor, Swaraj Engines has raised engine output to 24,706, a whopping 42 per cent over last year production of 17,418. Production of critical, hi-tech engine components like cylinder block, gear casing etc also picked up during the year. While 16,603 gear casing were produced, out-turn of cylinder blacks crossed the 8,000 mark.
