Surjeet likes Jaya not Laloo, says Karunanidhi

CHENNAI, MAY 29: Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on Friday said he was not at all surprised at CPM senior leader and general secretary Harkishen Singh Surjeet’s visit to the Poes Garden residence of AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalitha. "I am not surprised… He has already met her in Delhi," he told the press at Anna Arivalayam, after his brief meeting with Union Minister Ram Jethmalani.

And with a grin, added: "He does not like Laloo but likes Jayalalitha." He was obviously referring to the CPM leader’s soft corner for Jayalalitha though the latter faced a slew of corruption charges, while he was fiercely critical of former Bihar chief minister Laloo Prasad Yadav, for his alleged involvement in multi-crore scams.
