New Delhi, January 25: Anwer Sultan became the first Indian shooter to qualify for the Sydney Olympics when he fired an outstanding score of 143/150 in the trap event for an individual silver medal at the Asian Shooting Championship in Langkawi, Malaysia.
Sultan was just a point behind the Chinese gold medallist.Sultan8217;s effort won India the team gold with an aggregate score of 343/375 with Mansher Singh and Manavjit Singh doing their bit in pushing China and Kazakhstan to second and third respectively.
