Worried about the regular reports on NHAI missing deadlines and doing shoddily in the road sector, the Ministry and NHAI are waking up to the fact that it is election year and they just can’t do with so much bad press. The NHAI will soon be kicking off its own media blitz of sorts and is looking at engaging some foreign advertisement agency to showcase the NHDP. But there’s a roadblock here: as per rules NHAI has to advertise within a fixed budget and the funds set aside are not adequate for a mega campaign.
