CBSE has not yet given a confirmed date for the announcement.

Class XII students in Delhi can collect the results from their schools after 11 a.m. Correspondence students will get their results from the Patrachar Vidyalaya at Timarpur, while private students can collect theirs from their examination centre.

‘In cases where the students are confident about their performance, it is the parents who are worried. All conversation at the dining table is centered around the Board examinations, with the emphasis on how “tough” the Mathematics paper was or how “lengthy” the Physics one was.

“In fact, we have been talking about the results for the whole of last week,” says Kavita Suri, mother of a class XII Commerce student. “I am having anxiety attacks. The entire family is just waiting for the result to come out tomorrow.”

In anticipation of the reaction to the results going to be declared tomorrow, helplines are gearing up to face the barrage of “failure calls”.

Dr Achla Bhagat, director of NGO group Sarthak that runs Operation Hope says: “We have geared up for the calls tomorrow. Tonight is just like the lull before the storm. So far, we got calls from students saying they were apprehensive of failing. Now we will get calls about failure and how students haven’t got the marks their parents expected. We are expecting at least 200 calls and things will be much more difficult to handle.”

But, there will be little time to spend pondering over the results, with Delhi University giving out admission forms from June 10. There will be just one day for the assimilation and digestion of the CBSE results.
