A new road from Kup to Malaud will be built at a cost of Rs 6 crores. The foundation stone for the road was laid on Tuesday by MP Sharanjit Singh Dhillon and zila parishad chairman Manpreet Singh Ayali. Dhillon said that a total of Rs 120 crores would be spent to improve the condition of roads in Ludhiana district. However the road from Kup to Malaud is being constructed under the Prime Minister Gramin Yozna.Mahesh Inder Grewal, former minister, was also present on the ocassion. Others who attended the function held on the occasion included Sukhwant Singh, member, Zila Parishad, sarpanch Gurmukh Singh.
