MUMBAI, JAN 17: The Maharashtra Government would be completing formalities by February-end for initiating action against those found guilty in the Srikrishna Commission report that probed the 1992-93 communal riots in the city in the wake of Babri mosque demolition, Minister of State for Home Kripashankar Singh said today.``No one will be spared as the DF government is committed to implementing the Srikrishna Commission report,'' Singh told newsmen here.Singh said the State's Law Department had given a ``favourable opinion'' for taking action against Shiv Sena chief Bal thackeray for his recent utterances regarding disenfranchisement of Muslims and matter was being processed by police and General Administration Department (GAD).The minister said the government was confident of handling any law and order situation as a fallout of an action against Thackeray. The State Home Department has sent clippings of Thackeray's controversial remarks to Union Home Minister L K Advani.Referring to the arrest of five persons by Mumbai Police who cracked the case of city's prominent cardiologist Dr Vasant Jaykar's murder, Singh said as revealed during the investigation, the killing took place out of `personal revenge' and had no connection with underworld extortion or certification of diamond merchant Bharat Shah's illness after his arrest.Singh called upon city's medical fraternity to carry out their professional duties without fear of underworld. To a query, Singh confirmed that noted actor and MP Sunil Dutt had approached the State Government for directing the police to observe `restraint' while interrogating actors who had acted in Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, allegedly financed by underworld don Chhota Shakeel.``The police have been asked to conduct inquiries into the case only on the basis of evidence,'' he added.
