AHMEDABAD, Oct 1: Two State Bharatiya Janata Party MPs have attributed the change in the US stand on sanctions to `successful foreign policy' of their party's government at the Centre.Vallabh Katihiriya and Jaisinh Chauhan in a statement on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee for this major achievement. They said the US softening its stance on economic sanctions against India in post-Pokharan II situation was a proof of inherent strength of the country's economic position.They hoped the country would come out of the recession in the near future as a result of steps taken by the Centre over the past few months.Meanwhile, a host of party leaders have welcomed formulation of information technology policy by the State government.MP Bhavnaben Dave, GNFC chairman Pradeep singh Jadeja and municipal school board vice-chairman Jagdish Bhavsar among others have stated the new policy initiatives in the field of information technology and a long line up of software technology parks in different cities of the State, setting up of Gujarat Institute of Information Technology and incorporation of a new company named Gujarat Informatics would help take great strides in the further development of the State.
