Agrahari shines
A fine spell of left-arm spin bowling by Santosh Agrahari (5-10) was instrumental in Springfield Rizvi’s ten-wicket victory over Amrut Education in the pre-quarter-final of the Kellogg’s Super Cup inter-school cricket tournament at Cross Maidan on Monday.

Batting first, Amrut were bowled out for 62, a target easily overwhelmed by the Springfield openers.

Customs hold Navy
A goal, two minutes from the end, by Stanley Fernandes enabled Mumbai Customs hold Indian Navy 2-2 in the Bombay Hockey Association Super hockey league at the Mahindra Stadium, on Monday.

Ashok Kumar gave Navy the lead in the 16th minute, while Customs restored parity through a goal by Romeo Albuquerque in the 32nd minute. In the second-half, Navywent ahead 2-1 in the 56th minute when Amus Bara scored a field goal. Stanley salvaged a point for Customs at the fag end.

Navy have so far fielded 21 players in the league in violation of the BHA stipulated number of 20 registered players per team.

In the Senior Division game, Union Bank and Central Bank were concerned in a goalless draw.

Mayuresh comes first
Mayuresh Phadke (boys) and Pallavi Kamble (girls) of Saraswati Education Society (Panch Pakhadi) and New Kalwa High School respectively won the Mukand mini marathon race.
