MUMBAI, FEB 12: St Blaise (Amboli) scored a facile 4-0 victory over Holy Family (Andheri) in the boys under-12 Inter-School Hockey Tournament, sponsored by Colgate, at the St Stanislaus Ground today.
The feature of the game was two goals by Cazmir Fernandes. Joywin Fernandes and Nigel Pereira were the other goal-getters for St Blaise.
St Stanislaus, who had won both their games yesterday, once again were in the limelight today. Their A team beat St Theresa’s (Bandra) 4-0, while their B team held Sacred Heart (Santa Cruz) to a 1-1 draw.
Don Bosco A (Matunga) continued their fine showing with a 3-1 triumph over St Joseph’s (Malad).

Easy for BARC
Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) maintained their winning spree when they drubbed Central Railway Workshop, Matunga, 7-1 in Pool A of the BHA Third Division hockey league, sponsored by Punjab National Bank, at the Khalsa College ground, Matunga, today.
This was BARC’s third straight victory. They led 3-0 at the interval in the match, which was played at a brisk pace right through. The railwaymen also gave off their best but they simply could not dislodge their opponents.
The highlight of the game was two goals each by Rajneesh Kumar and veteran defender Placidus Lacera. The other scorers for BARC were R Thondiaman, Jitender Singh and Narinder Singh. Surender Rao netted Workshop’s consolation goal.
There will be no game at this venue on Saturday.
Nohar Nath tops
Nohar Nath, who had bagged the BPGC Golfer of the Year award last season, won the Club Challenge Cup golf tournament of the Bombay Presidency Golf Club held at the par-70 Chembur course.
Nath and Capt. Dhruva Bose tied for the top spot with a scratch (0) score in the 36-hole tournament against bogey, but Nath triumphed with a better score over the last 18 holes.
Nath had scores of plus 3 and minus 3, Bose had minus 1 and plus 1.
Akshay Puri and Abhishek Garodia won the annual four-ball tournament, which was also played against bogey with a plus nine score. Gurinder Burjee and Aman Bajaj (plus 6) were declared second after four pairs had come in with a plus six score.
The other pairs who tied for the second spot were Shailesh Patel and A Gupta, Hemant Kamath and Andreas Rothman and M V Gowrishankar and Subhash Ramachandran.
