PUNE, May 25: In retaliation to the State Government's decision to allow MAXICAB to ply its services, Maharashtra State Transport Kamgar Sanghatana, the union of the State Transport (ST) employees will organise ST Bachao Abhiyan on June 1.Announcing this at a press conference yesterday, Hanumant Tate, general secretary of the union said, the Abhiyan which will essentially be an awareness campaign will be organised on June 1, when ST will celebrate its golden jubilee year.Criticising what he termed as `indirect privatisation' of ST, Tate said, the state government's decision would cost Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation dearly.
