CHENNAI, April 14: The Southern Railway has decided to attach additional coaches to various trains to meet the summer rush. According to railway sources, three coaches would be added to the Thiruvananthapuram Mail and one each to the Tami Nadu Express, the Grand Trunk Express, the Mangalore Mail, the Aleppey Express and the Howrah Mail.

The MEA stated that air services can resume by late October, subject to operational requirements. Talks in January and August between the two countries led to an agreement to resume direct flights.
