
CHANDIGARH, Oct 21: Sanjay Public School Club and Khalsa XI scored victories over their respective opponents to set up title clash in the ongoing Chandigarh State women football championship for Deepak Kapania Memorial Trophy at the Sector 17 Football Stadium. In the semifinals, today, SPS Club blanked Dev Samaj-45 by three goals to nil while Khalsa XI beat Yadavindra Public School (Blue), 3-1.
For SPS Club Pinky opened the account while Aarti netted twice in the second session to pave the way into the final.
In the match between YPS (Blue) and Khalsa XI, the latter took the lead through Manmohan Kaur. Gurpreet and Pooja were the other goal scorers for the team.
Kawalpreet shot one back for YPS.

Asim Ali’s unbeaten knock of 69 runs enabled St John’s High School-26 beat Mount Carmel School-46 by 188 runs in under-14 group in the Edmund Rice cricket tournament at St John’s High School in Sector 26, today.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) basketball tournament in girls (under-19) section will be held at Dev Samaj School in Sector 21, from November 10 to 12. Entries close on October 31, with the school principal at the venue.
