Kamal Kishore and Vinay Singh shared an unbroken stand of 90 to steer their team to an easy victory, after Vijay Mehra Academy was set a target of 186 for victory in 30 overs. They achieved the target in only 18 overs. Kamal Kishore struck nine boundaries while Vinay had seven.
Earlier, Upendra Sharma (57: 6×4) and Abhishek Ram (42: 5×4) helped LPS XI reach 185.

Powered by a fine spell of bowling by Baljeet Singh (5 for 30), Sahara Airlines beat Ashirwad by 21 runs to enter the quarter-final of Sandeep Suri memorial tournament at Satyawati College. Sahara made 180 in 40 overs and in reply Ashirwad managed 162 as they were shout out in the 39th over, thanks to some fine spell by Baljeet Singh, who captured five wickets, conceding 30 runs.

Delhi scored a 2-0 convincing victory over Nagaland in a group `B’ match of the National Junior (Under-19) Football Championship for the Dr B C Roy Trophy, which began at Imphal today, according to reports reaching here. The 27 participating teams have been divided into six groups which is being played on a league-cum-knockout basis.
