SAS NAGAR, NOV 18: Spice Telecom today launched the add-on card facility whereby subscribers will able to avail of a second connection or an add-on subscription for a person of their choice.

According to a spokesman, the add-on card offers discounted air time rate on calls between the subscriber and his add-on companion. During the offer period (till December 15), subscribers will also have the added benefit of having the same mobile number as that of the primary subscriber with the prefix of Spice telecom’s new number series of 98141.

For the postpaid subscribers, the add-on card will be available for Rs 2,260 as against the current subscription rate of Rs 4,260. The same for the pre paid subscribers, since there is no security deposit involved here.

The air time rates on calls between the subscribers card and add-on card will be the same as the off-peak hour rates of their respective tariff plans. For subscribers of Spice Sixer, the air time rates would be Rs 2 per minute only.

Spice telecom, Managing Director Sean Dexter said the add-on partner could be the subscriber’s spouse, a family member or a business partner. "Since these are the people a subscriber calls most often, the new offer will help on saving on `frequent’ calls.
