Rivalry between two high-profile lawyers affiliated to the Congress8212;Union Minister Kapil Sibal and MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi8212;has left senior leaders blushing, the latest episode being the flip-flop on Congress President Sonia Gandhi8217;s 8220;merchants of death8221; remark. So much so that when Singhvi had to finally take Sibal8217;s line that Sonia had not named anybody, an upset Singhvi rejected even AICC Treasurer Motilal Vora8217;s plea on December 11 evening to come to the party headquarters to brief the press on the first phase of polling in Gujarat and on the Congress President8217;s reply to the Election Commission8217;s notice. A visibly embarrassed Vora told the scribes that they would have to go to the spokesperson8217;s residence if they wished to hear him. 8220;What can I do? I am not the media cell chairperson. He says he can8217;t come here,8221; said Vora.
