SURAT, DECEMBER 22: Binni, the five-year-old daughter of slain municipal councillor Nita Satbhaya and the only eyewitness to the gruesome murder more than a year ago, on Tuesday identified two of the three killers in the presence of an executive magistrate.Binni, who was with her mother in their house at Bhagunagar II, identified Dharmendrasingh Tehsildarsingh Rajput and Om Prakash Mishra from a group of about ten persons in the magistrate's cabin.The third killer, Dinesh Patel alias Bambaiyya, is still absconding. "This is a major breakthrough as far as filing charges in the case is concerned," said the Police Commissioner reacting to the identification.Meanwhile, Assistant Sub-Inspector Tehsildarsingh Rajput, attached to the Sachin police station of the city, has been suspended from duty. His suspension orders were issued on Tuesday.Singh has been accused of deliberately hampering police investigations despite knowing on the third day after the murder that his son Dharmendrasingh Rajput was one of the killers, the police said. Instead, he sent his son off to his native place in Uttar Pradesh, where the youth is alleged to have committed yet another murder.
