ALLAHABAD, OCT 15: The Samajvadi Janata Party (Rashtriya) will boycott foreign goods and discard their use in everyday life.
The party National executive which met here on Sunday appealed to Mr Chandra Shekhar to launch a movement against the new economic policy of the government on the pattern of Mahatma Gandhi’s `Quit India’ movement and Jaiprakash Narayan’s `total revolution.’
It will also not protest against import of luxury goods and agriculttural products into the country and sale of public sector undertakings.
In another resolution, the party decided that it would not talk and discuss the formation of a Third Front.
It also decided to work for the revival of the small scale industries and handicrafts and demand a ban on the entry of multi- National companies into the country.
The party will oppose the exploitation of farmers, and workers by the multinational companies and force the government to understand its responsibility in respect of the probelms faced by the common man.
