PUNE, Jan 4: Founder president of Krantiveer Six Seater Rickshaw Union Badshah Sayyad today said that the union would soon meet Chief Minister Manohar Joshi regarding the decisions of the State Government to implement bans in various municipal limits all over the State.Sayyad said that the six-seaters were given different transport permits in various districts. The six-seater operators had also been served notices regarding the ban in a few districts. The action committee, formed after notices were served in Solapur recently, will meet the Chief Minister and submit a memorandum. There are nearly 15,000 six-seater autorickshaws in the State.Sayyad was speaking to newspersons after the release of the first monthly magazine titled Krantilekha published by the union. The magazine was released by president of Pune Union of Working Journalists Madhav Gokhale. Sayyad said the objective of the publication was to create awareness among the autodrivers regarding de-addiction. It would also help in bringing the drivers together.
