THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, December 27: Kerala Chief Minister E K Nayanar on Friday reiterated his government's intention to entrust the administration of the Sivagiri Mutt to sanyasins once peace was restored there.Even as the CM asserted this stand, Swami Prakasananda of Sivagiri Mutt, who had undertaken an indefinite fast to protest against Govt takeover of Sivagiri, was removed by the police to hospital. A hartal was called in protest by Sree Narayana Dharma Samanvaya Samithi. But, Nayanar said, given the non-confrontationist stand by the govt, one could not afford to turn a blind eye when BJP and RSS joined hands with the sanyasins to turn Sivagiri into a base for spreading communal hatred. ``The government has no interest in taking sides in the dispute between sanyasins. Similarly, it does not befit a sanyasin's calling to join hands with the BJP and the RSS in an anti-government stir in the name of take over of the Sivagiri administration,'' Nayanar said.On Opposition leader A K Antony's claim that he had not sent any fax message from Delhi while he was CM, directing police action in Sivagiri, Nayanar said, if the police action had been without his specific instruction, then the conclusion would be that Antony was unfit to be CM, as he failed to control the police. If on the other hand, Antony had indeed authorised police action, then he could not absolve himself of the sin for allowing police rampage in Sree Narayana Guru's samadhi, Nayanar said.
