The end of a millennium is in sight. The second recorded millennium of earth will end when the sun sets on on the last day of 1999. While the software industry is busy cashing in on it, there are others who are taking a wistful and funny look at the 100 years which just sped by.
The Wacky Millennium is one such site. At pw2.netcom/ rogermw, one gets brief description of the major events of the last millennium and the century. The site has no graphics and some facts may not be accurate, but the site is very entertaining.
The Normans invaded England in 1066; everybody united under Ghengis Khan in Mongolia. This site is a nice an frothy way of recapping the centuries gone by.
