NAWANSHAHR, Sept 17: A district-level single window committee, which would facilitate the entrepreneurs to set up industrial units in the district, has been constituted undaer the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Roshan Sunkaria here.The general manager district industrial counter would be the convenor, assistant director factories, district officer PUDA Pollution Control Board, engineer and XEN PSEB Nawanshahr would be the members of the committee. The committee would provide information on licensing procedures, selection of site, issues related to pollution control etc.According to a press release, DC Roshan Sankara, who preside over the first meeting of the committee, said that the government would provide 30 per cent capital subsidy and sales tax exemption of 100 per cent to those entrepreneurs who would set up small scale industrial units in the five rural industrial focal points located in the district. ADC R K Verma and SDM Nawanshahr Ashok Kumar Sikka were also present in the meeting.
