Disinvestment Minister Arun Shourie who has been given additional charge of the Commerce and Industry Ministry will lead the Indian delegation to the informal meeting of the WTO scheduled to be held at Sydney, Australia later this week. Trade ministers from about 25 member countries including the US and the european Union are expected to participate in the two day meet from November 14 to discuss post-Doha issues including the implementation issues, special and differential treatment, TRIPS and public health and market access.An official release said the informal meeting of WTO ministers being hosted by the Government of Australia is intended to facilitate an exchange of views amongst WTO ministers on the progress of negotiations in the context of the Doha agenda and the next ministerial meeting of WTO in September 2003 at Cancun in Mexico.
