MUMBAI, July 21: The sixth edition of The Great Escape, for Mahindra four wheel drives, hit the forests of Mahableshwar on Sunday, July 20th. JP Banerjee, Executive VP, Mahindra and Mahindra, flagged of the 250 participants in 79 vehicles. Apart from the rough track, the drivers braved through the heavy fog and the slippery monsoon roads. The track was comparatively easy for the old hands at the Escape as there were no rains during the event.

Kanga League

A get together of the captains/hon. sectrataries and officiating umpires in the Dr HD Kanga Memorial Cricket League will be held on July 29 at F&G Blocks of Garware Pavilion of the Wankhede Stadium at 6 pm. The 50th edition of the league commences from August 3.

Sources in the LJP (RV) said the names of the remaining 15 candidates would also be announced very soon.

Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) announced its first list of 14 candidates for the Bihar assembly polls, with its state unit chief Raju Tiwary and leader Hulas Pandey among the nominees. As per the seat-sharing arrangement, LJP (RV) will contest 29 seats, while BJP and JD(U) will contest 101 seats each. The remaining 15 candidates will be announced soon.
