Lawrence scores twice in St Columba’s win
St Mary’s Academy (Meerut) and St Columba’s School entered the semifinals of Bro Mahony inter-school football tournament at Mount St Mary’s School grounds in Delhi Cantonment today. In the quarterfinals, the Meerut boys beat Naval Public School 2-0, both coming in the first session. Saurav Tomar and Manan Sharma were the scorers. In the other match, St Columba’s defeated Modern School (Vasant Vihar) 3-0. Praveen Lawrence scored a brace while Pranay Vir Singh converted a penalty to complete the tally.

For Kargil heroes
Dadri Cricket Club and the administration of Charkhi Dadri (District Bhiwani) will jointly organise a cricket match on July 25 to help the families of the jawans who have lost their lives in Kargil. The organisers expect to collect a minimum sum of Rs 10 lakh from the match. According to former India speedster Chetan Sharma, the following players will participate in the match: Kapil Dev, Yashpal Sharma, Chetan Sharma, Maninder Singh, Nikhal Chopra, Gursharan Singh, Vivek Razdan, Rahul Sanghavi, Virender Sehwag, Robin Singh Jr, Vijay Yadav and all Haryana and Delhi Ranji Trophy players.

Title for Hans Raj School
Hans Raj Model School (Punjabi Bagh) won the ninth Delhi state taekwondo Vijayant Thapar Trophy team championship winning eight gold medals while STA Club finished second. G D Goenka Public School and Ryan International School (Noida) got the third and fourth places, respectively.
