Former national junior champion Gaurav Anand outclassed Manan Chandra 13-91, 72-25, 63-35, 80-41 in the Meharban Dhupia memorial billiard and snooker tournament at Chelmsford Club.
In other matches, Rishab Thukral easily accounted for Subhash Sood in straight frames; Feroz Khan caved in meekly to Anuj Uppal 75-9, 56-100, 53-45, 68-30; Varun Taneja trounced Deepak Govil while Rajat Taneja also won 3-0 and both entered the quarter-finals.
Industrial Cup
Fine knock of 81 by Khazan Singh and excellent bowling by Ravinder Singh (3 for 13) powered Hero Honda to record a 99-run victory over Krishna Maruti Ltd in the Industrial Cup tournament at Nehru Stadium (Gurgaon).
In another match, Sun Beam prevailed over Maruti Udyog by 25 runs. Ajay (54) and Kamal (34) were the main contributors for the winners while Sanjay’s 82 went in vain for the losers.

Under-19 tourney
The newly-formed East Delhi Cricket Club will organise East Delhi (under-19) tournament from April 1 at Yamuna Sports complex and Tahirpur sports complex. About 12 teams are expected to participate in the meet which will include LB Shastri, Sonnet, South Delhi Coaching Centre, Delhi Blues, RR Gymkhana, Ghaziabad Colts, Chetan Sharma-Sumeet Dogra Academy, Krifit Acadmey, Salwan Boys and Shanti Academy. An unbeaten quickfire 85 by Amar Singh helped Sahara Airlines triumph over DSI by seven wickets in the group D match of second Hari Singh Tyagi TYCA league at Air Force ground.
