30 shortlisted for U-16 camp
Thirty boys (under-16) have been shortlisted to attend a camp at the Kotla from 1.30 pm on Monday, according to Sunil Dev, chairman, selection committee. Nine of the boys were in last year’s squad of 20.
The selected players: Rajat Jaiswal, Salil Oberoi, Kunal Bhardwaj, Rajesh Kumar, Abhishekh Sharma, Nitin Aggarwal, Puneet Sharma, Nikhil Kumar, Sushil Kumar, Sumit Kapoor, Mayank Sharma, Sunil Nagar, Yogesh Kumar, Bharat Khurana, Shikher Dhawan, Riten Juneja, Kunal Sethi, Deepak Sharma (wk), Manoj Kumar, Sumit Beri, Manjeet Singh Rajput, Rohit Sharma (wk), Himanshu Khullar (wk), Gautam Trehan, Rakshit Pant, Amit Bhutania, Gaurav Malhotra, Kunal Lal, Sahil Khullar, Abhinav Bali.

Crifit Club beat KN Colts by 10 wickets in an inaugural match of Jayanti Devi Junior League (under-14) tournament.
Brief scores: KN Colts: 74 all out (Yashdev Sagar 35, Anuj 3/14, Kapil 2/4, Rahul 2/18) lost to Crifit Club: 75 (Siddarth 41 no).

St Stephen’s in semis
St Stephen’s College triumphed over Ramlal Anand College by six wickets to reach the semi-final of the Communal Harmony cricket.
Brief scores: Ramlal Anand College: 140 (Vishesh Khanna 46, Anuj 24, Sohail Dhand 3/26, Sandeep Rana 3/17, Pradeep 2/14) lost to St Stephen’s College: 141 for 4 (Sohail Dhand 35 no, Viney Mohan Singh 31 no, Sandeep Rana 23, Atul 3/33).

Salwan Boys move up
Salwan Boys trounced Bal Bharati Public School (Pitam Pura) by 41 runs in the inter-school tournament (under-15) for RP Jain Trophy. In another match, Mount St Mary’s (Delhi Cantt) beat Salwan Public School by five wickets.

Bhagat Singh win
Bhagat Singh College downed Khalsa College (Evening) by 72 runs while IGIPES outwitted Maharaja Agarsen College by one wicket in the Inter-College tournament organised by University of Delhi at Khalsa College ground.

ICICI beaten
Dantal Hydraulics drubbed ICICi by 235 in the Dattu Phadkar Memorial tournament at Gural Pahari (Gurgaon).

Vinod excels
Vinod (Majnu Ka Tila) beat Balram (Nand Nagri) by fall in the Inter-zonal wrestling championship. The other winners were, Virender, Raj Kumar, Pradeep, Jitender, Sandeep, Pankaj, Dinesh, Devender and Sanjay.

DS Group advance
DS Group beat RR Gymkhana by six wickets to enter the quarter-finals of the Shatabdi tournament.

Jaunti Club prevail
Jaunti Club beat ASN (Mayur Vihar) 25-13, 25-7 in the quarter-final in the boys section of the Delhi State Junior volleyball championship. Other winners were Boys section: Apex Club , Najafgarh Coaching Centre, Ramjas No. 4; girls section: Bhai Joga Singh, Anubhav Club A, Tilak Nagar No. 1 A, JDHSD Club. Semi-final matches: Boys: Ramjas No. 4; Girls: JDHSD Club.

Inter-Ministry sport
President Sectt humbled I&B 1-0 in Inter-Ministry football. Lok Sabha beat CWC 7-0 while Education defeated AFHQ 1-0. In cricket, Chemical and Fertilizer triumphed over Health by eight runs.

South India Corporation beat Army (Green) 6-5 while Aravali Polo beat ITC Maurya `A’ 5-4 to enter the final of Tribhvandas Bhimji Zaveri Radha Mohan Rajinder Mohan Gold Vase polo tourney. Haldighati won Field Marshal Cariappa Cup beating Willingdon Cresent 6-5.
