Hans Raj, Salwan in semi-finals
Hans Raj Model School beat DAV School (Shalimar Bagh) by eight wickets in a quarter-final match of RP Jain Trophy (under-15) tournament at Ramjas sports complex. In another match, Salwan Boys School defeated Mount Saint Mary’s School by 173 runs with the help of fine knock by Sushil (68) and excellent bowling by Preet Pal Singh (4 for 11).

Haryana TT team
The followings players will represent Haryana in the 60th junior national and inter-state table tennis championship to be held at Jalandhar from December 25 to 30: Boys: Sunil Ahuja, Niraj Mani, Niraj Kumar, Gaurav Garg and Niraj Chaudhary. Girls: Monika Singhal, Meenu Babbar, Preeti and Charu.

DDA indoor games
H Kohli and B N Bhattacharya emerged winners in the semi-finals of table tennis event of 12th DDA indoor games at Vikas Sadan courts. H Kohli beat Suresh Kumar Sharma 21-14, 20-22, 16-21, 21-14, 21-19 while B N Bhattacharya defeated Sanjay Kishore 21-17, 21-19, 21-15.

Badminton team
The following players will represent Delhi in the mini national badminton championship to be held at Visakhapatnam from December 7 to 10. Boys (u-16): Manek Sehgal, Mubashir Khan, Sandeep Kaushik and Puneet Kumar. Boys (u-13): Himanshu Kharbanda, Ujjwal Kharbanda, Rajiv Bajaj and Madhur Goel. Girls (u-16): Diva Arora, Renu Aswal. Girls (u-13): Deepti Ranjan and Isha Gupta.

YMCA volleyball
JDMC prevailed over IGIPESS 15-13, 13-15, 17-7, 1-15, 16-14 in the Delhi state invitation volleyball tournament at YMCA courts. In other matches, LIC defeated CRPF 15-5, 15-6, 15-3 while N Railway outwitted Air Force 15-8, 8-15, 15-7, 15-12.

Moti Bagh win
Yugal Kishore’s goal in the closing minute helped Govt Boys Senior Secondary School, Moti Bagh beat Birla Vidya Niketan (Pushp Vihar) reach the final of Deorani memorial invitational football (u-14) tournament. In the final, Moti Bagh will take on St Marks School (Paschim Vihar).

Title for Ramjas
Ramjas No. 4 lifted the trophy in the boys section of fifth Bal Bharti invitational basketball tournament defeating VS Agriculture, Khera 72-62 at Bal Bharati School (Garga Ram Hospital Marg) ground. In the girls section, Mount Carmel won the championship beating JD Tytler 36-27.

Sumit, Rohit excel
Superb batting by Sumeet Barry (93) and a fine spell of bowling by Rohit Mehra (4 for 8) helped Sonnet Club thrash Alpine Club by 112 runs in the second Hari Singh Tyagi TYCA league match at Yamuna sports complex.

Saurav Katwalia’s 100 and deadly bowling by Devender Avana (3 for 17) helped hosts Cambridge School (Noida) humble DPS (Noida) by 42 runs in the semi-final match of the second AC Dev memorial tournament at Cambridge School ground. In another match, Vishwabharati School (Noida) thrashed Modern School (Noida) by nine wickets.
