MUMBAI, June 13: The Final of the Air-India Trophy, conducted by the Mumbai District Football Association, will be played between Royal Caterers and Naval Dockyard at the St Xavier’s Ground, Parel, tomorrow. The match starts at 4:15 p.m.

Cumballa SC soccer tourney

Cumballa Sports Club will be organising a one-day open knock-out football tournament on June 29 at the Priyadarshini Park Ground, Napean Sea Road. The tournament carries a cash prize of Rs 5,000 and a trophy for the winners and Rs 3,000 and a trophy for the runners-up.

Mallakhamb camp

Sri Samarth Vyayam Mandir, Dadar, will be organising a 10-day mallakhamb camp at Seth Mangaldas Verma Krida Bhavan, Shivaji Park, from 18 June. This is the 13th year in succession that they are holding the camp which will accomodate 100 boys and girls of the age five years and above. The camp will be held between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. everyday. Campers will be tested for their abilities and those securing more than 60 per cent marks will get priority for admission in the institution. Entrance fee is Rs 1 and the camp fee is Rs 50.

‘Unfortunate’: SC slams reports suggesting ‘pilot error’ led to Air India crash

The Supreme Court Monday issued notice on a plea seeking an independent and expeditious investigation into the June 12, 2025, crash of an Air India Boeing Dreamliner in Ahmedabad, which killed 260 people. The bench also termed as “unfortunate” media reports which indicated that “pilot error” was to blame for the crash, purportedly quoting some preliminary findings by the AAIB.
