KOLHAPUR, Nov 3: Defence lawyer Manik Mulik today accused Kiran Shinde, the approver in the kidnapping and murder of children by Anjanabai Gavit, for making a false statement before the court according to the police guidelines to help them not to get involved in the case and involve the two accused Renuka and Seema. Mulik charged that Shinde and a suspended policeman Laxman Urit were engaged in theft, kidnapping of children and disposing stolen property. Denying the allegations, Shinde said Anjanabai, Seema and his wife Renuka and he had committed the crimes. He and Lakshman had not conduced the business.
