When Health Minister Shatrughan Sinha returns from his Jakarta trip, Ministry sources say, he will finally start attending office. In a brand new office which, they say, will cost over Rs 10 lakh to refurbish.Two secretaries — Health Secretary S.K. Naik and Family Welfare Secretary J.V.R. Prasada Rao — are to be shifted to Nirman Bhavan, and Sinha’s room is to be formed from their merger.Rao and Naik are to be shifted to Sinha’s first floor office-cum-conference room respectively — Sinha’s room has already been vacated, all fittings removed, a new partition created to form two rooms, and work on this is expected to be completed in the next few days.The deadline for the project is Sunday, the day Sinha returns from his foreign jaunt. Sinha’s aide, Prabhat Ranjan Deb said that the reasons for the move were ‘‘aesthetics and security’’. He said he was unaware of the break-up of the cost.
