Former Pakistan premier Nawaz Sharif was on Wednesday barred by the police for the second time from meeting deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar M Chaudhry, who has been under house arrest here since November last year.Sharif and his PML-N party workers tried to go to Chaudhry's residence, but were stopped at a police barricade.“We will continue our efforts for the restoration of an independent judiciary,” he told reporters. Referring to an order asking Chaudhry to vacate his official bungalow, Sharif described it as “illegal, unethical and unconstitutional” and said it should be withdrawn.
