Seventh Day Adventist triumph in a shoot-out

In the summit clash, the game was most confined to the middle. Adventist were attacking constantly but the Jamnabai defence comprising Deval Amin, Navzar Granee and Jimish Joshi stood equal to the task.

On a counter attack, Adventist striker Waseem Ansari stole a ball from the Jamnbai defence and almost fetched a goal for his team. However, his left-foot grounder sped inches away from the goal-post.

With both teams failing to score in regulation time the game spilled over to the tie-breaker. ForAdventist, Faisal Ansari, Mudassir Shaikh and Zaid Ansari converted while Nandi Siddartha was the only one to find the target for Jamnabai.

The script was the same in the hard-lines too. No goal was scored till full-time resulting in the Vakola team emerging successful in a shoot-out.George Lawrence, Chandan Nair, Prashant Shinde scored for the winners while Aaron D’Souza, Fahin Shaikh and Sahil Khan found the net for Anza.
