PANCHKULA, Nov 2: Twelve people have been booked by the Panchkula Police under the Excise Act. Six bottles of liquor and 490 pouches of country-made liquor recovered from them.Giving this information, Superintendent of Police Alok Mittal said that three persons have been booked under the Gambling Act in Pinjore. These include Rakesh Kumar, Rajender Singh and Prakash. A sum of Rs 405 was also recovered from them.In another incident, an Ambala resident, Tirith Ram, was arrested for picking pocket at Kalka Bus Stand and a sum of Rs 700 was recovered from him, the Superintendent of Police said.Seven proclaimed offenders and bail jumpers have also been booked by the police under the surveillance of ASI Jagpal Singh. These include Sanjay, Chandan and Ishwar Singh of Chandigarh, Jaswinder Singh of Patiala, Jagganath of Gurgaon, Arun Kumar of Kaithal and Mohan Lal of Saharanpur.The police has also booked seven cases of electricity theft and booked five persons for the offence.
