The Haryana Government today continued to try and bring the agitating BKU to the talks table.

The telephone wires between Kandela and Chandigarh were busy with calls to BKU state chief Ghasi Ram Nain, including one by Ajay Singh Chautala, MP son of the CM. Also, an appeal for talks was made by Ram Pal Majra, Chief Parliamentary Secretary.

BKU spokesman Baljit Singh said Ajay Singh was clearly told that no talks could be held until the cases were withdrawn.

Meanwhile, 39 farmers were released on bail. Fourteen were released in Jind while 24 got bail from a Rohtak court.
