PM A.B. Vajpayee on Thursday lashed out at those clamouring for smaller states for the sake of grabbing power. Though he did not name Ajit Singh and his Harit Pradesh movement, Vajpayee said new states should be created with the sole motive of solving people’s problems.
Addressing a rally in the RLD bastion, he said the carving of states was not the solution to peoples’ difficulties. He was campaigning for former Union minister Satpal Malik who takes on RLD chief Ajit Singh in Baghpat.
