MUMBAI, January 23: The Shiv Sena Tiger today made friends with the mouse to set up the party’s website on the Internet. And coming as did on Sena supremo Bal Thackeray’s 71st birthday, the site, Shivsena.Org, has opened up new vistas for the party.

The home page was inaugurated at party office Shivalaya in Nariman Point by senior party leader and Chief Minister Manohar Joshi with Sena’s youth leaders Uddhav and Raj Thackeray by his side.

The first page on the site is entirely devoted to Thackeray and photo and profile is followed by pictures of Raj, Joshi and Uddhav and a brief introduction of the three Sena leaders.

Other components of the page are Sena’s pledge, salient features of the organisation, Sena in the government etc. The most interesting part of the page will be the news section which will provide latest information on Thackeray’s speeches during the poll campaign, apart from statistics and poll surveys.

Interestingly, 24 hours before the page was inaugurated by the Chief Minister, healready had a handsome response with Y Rane, a Non Resident Indian from Chicago, e-mailing in that he was interested in investing a whopping US $10 million in Maharashtra. Rane, who visited the Sena’s home page, has sent a message to Joshi seeking guidance for his venture.
